The force you apply to a putting stroke is judged in a similar manner as the force of tossing a ball
to a target. The weight of the baseball or golf ball is sensed by the hand and aids various neural systems in determining how much force is necessary to toss or putt a ball to a target. The Right Touch
Trainer provides the sensation of rolling a golf ball to the hole with your hand while putting with your putter.
Just like playing catch with a ball, after a little practice your skill to hit your target should be improved.
The result gives you the perfect sensation
of combined weight and motion to sharpen your sense for distance control.
The Right Touch Trainer extends the classic ball toss technique
one important step further by allowing the golfer to feel a ball toss while putting, chipping, or pitching.
Simply tossing a golf ball does not impart any
information as to the added lever length and mass of the golf club. With the Right Touch Trainer attached to the putter's
grip and held in the fingers, the golfer is able to sense the total system length and mass of the putter and ball in motion.
The result is a more accurate judgment by the neural system of the force needed to make the ball travel a specific distance.
The golfer can practice
putting balls with the Right Touch Trainer attached to a putter on a putting green, or a carpet. After the trainer is removed
for play, a golfer is better able to recall the sensation of holding a ball in the hand while putting on the course.
